Government of Angola has banned Islam , because according to them , Islam is not a religion , but a sect . Angola became the first country in the world to ban Islam .
President Jose Eduardo dos Santos said that " this is the end of Islamic influence in Angola ."
Since the government say that the first step in banning Islam is the destruction of all mosques .
Minister
of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva emphasized that in Angola, where the
majority are Christian believers will be closed and destroyed all
mosques across the country.
She says that Islam is a sect must be banned because it is contrary to the customs and culture of Angola .
Besides
Islam , all religions that practice less than one percent of the
population , or 194 usht sects are forbidden in Angola .
Angola has 19 million inhabitants and one percent of them are Muslims .
