On 28 November Comet ISON will come to the nearest point of the solar photosphere, and if you
survive despite passing the Sun, will enable a new spectacle in the sky.
As the comet approaches its circling around the Sun, astronomers had the rare opportunity to
photograph the Earth.
So far, the comet was about as astronomers had expected, so it collapsed under the influence of the
Sun.
The most interesting part of the tape is the dynamics of the tail of the comet. For several days, the
comet will come to the nearest point, or the 1.9 million miles of the sun's photosphere.
If you survive, the comet will be visible on 3 December in the northern hemisphere.
