Australian swimmer Annette Kelerman in the U.S. was arrested for promoting women's rights to
wear the one-piece swimming costume.
In 1907 Kelerman visit the United States as "underwater ballerina", a sort of combination
synchronized swimming to diving. There she was arrested for "public demonstration" because the
needs of its points wore one-piece swimming costume, then banned for women in the United States.
She later branded line one piece swimming costume for women known as Annette Kellerman.
