In a study conducted at the University of Virginia , it was discovered that many animals are presented in the dreams of children compared with adults dreams . Children use animals to symbolize their desires and fears .
This may be because children are only interested in animals . Moreover , scary animals , such as lions , snakes , crocodiles and wolves , the most common in children's dreams , because they are terrific .
Children also seem to dream more aggression than for adults . Surprisingly aggressive acts kids dream about two times more often than adults . This may be due to the notion that children are still trying to control their impulses in order to live and function in a civilized society . They are trying to keep their impulses in check .
The research showed that girls' dreams were longer than those of boys . Girls' dreams contained more people and gear . Dreams of boys were more about the tools and facilities.
The troubles of children often stem from being punished by parents when a child is sick or if there is turmoil in the lives of children at home.
