‘bee-bearding’ man.

Wang Dalin from China’s Hunan Province stunned crowds by attempting to beat the world record for

the most bees worn at any one time.

Wang and his opponent Lu Kongjiang – dressed in just a pair of shorts and facial protection

including goggles and nose-plugs – stood on a set of scales for an hour while using queen bees to

attract swarms of the insects to their bodies.

Unfortunately for Lu, after the allocated 60 minutes were up, he tasted the harsh sting of defeat as

Wang was declared the winner having attracted an impressive 26.86kg worth of bees.

But his attempt wasn’t quite the bees knees as he fell short of the world record, which is still held by

American animal trainer Mark Biancaniello, who attracted 39.5kg worth of bees on to his body in 1998.
